About

Hi I’m Kevin a.k.a M0TBX.
I live in town called Brampton which is about seventy miles north of London in the United Kingdom. I started amateur radio in January 2011 after I was looking for a new hobby and saw details about a local radio club.
A couple of months after joining the club I passed my foundation test and in the April I became licensed as M6RJG. This was quickly superseded with my intermediate license 2E0TBN which I passed in the July. Finally after a short break I passed my final exam in March 2012 and became fully licensed.
As well as getting licensed the club gave me the opportunity to make some new friends and get involved with putting on various special events stations which help promote this fun hobby. I’ve had a go with a few radio related projects but I’m no expert. Some were successful, other’s not so. I’ll post some pictures on this site at some stage.
I really enjoy the electronic side of the hobby. I’m no expert but willing to try and learn. I’ve built a few projects in the past some of which I posted a few details about here.
Anyway, That’s enough waffle for now. Many thanks for taking the time to visit my site.“
