Windmills on Air Event – A Great Weekend! 🌾

Met up with a few friends this weekend for the annual Windmills on Air event! I was located at the Upminster Windmill, which dates all the way back to 1803. 🏰

We only had a basic portable setup due to space limitations caused by restoration work at the windmill. But that didn’t stop us from making some great contacts! I got the chance to operate on 2M and made contact with a few of the other special event Windmills as well as a number of other stations.

The weather was perfect, and it was a great chance to catch up with friends while enjoying some radio fun in a beautiful setting.

Event Highlights

Operating from a historic windmill dating back to 1803!
Contacted multiple special event stations and local operators.
Good weather made the day even better.
